Often, we think of the important things in life. What gives it meaning and what gives it purpose? Is it shallow to say that furniture gives us meaning and purpose? After all, it is just furniture. Or is it? After some 35 plus years in the furniture business I think that it is safe to say… Yes! it does and has given our life meaning and purpose. But to keep it in perspective, it has been a vehicle. A vehicle to meet so many people that have spoken wisdom into our life. A vehicle to meet friends from far away places that we would have never met. Friends that we wouldn’t normally have anything in common with, furniture has brought us together. Furniture has enabled us to do things we wouldn’t normally dream of doing. It has involved us in everything from building orphanages in Cambodia, providing furniture for a “safe house” for girls in Atlanta, to furnishing “hospitality “rooms in churches. These are the things that have given it the substance in our life. It is the most important or essential meaning to life. Of course, we love to sell it and we love to be a part of your home. Actually, we see it as an honor. It is an honor to be a part of everyone’s home because we believe that when our furniture becomes a part of your home it also becomes a part of your life and then it gives us substance.
So, I make no excuses that furniture gives our life meaning. Because it does. And it has provided so much for so many.
